Punta Roca is the wave closest to La Libertad. It's a legendary wave, but the dangers are apparent. The cemetery you walk through on the way is filled with thugs and criminals looking to rip off tourists. The waves are heavily localized. And none of this even touches upon the fact you're in some seriously powerful waves with Rocas just waiting to knock you out.
So.... is it worth it?

Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY.
This a world class right point break with great tubes to be had. If you can handle the waves that break here then the walk past the cemetery is no problem, just don't leave your girlfriend sitting on the rocks alone with a $1000 camera.
